Using didactic tools ( Line of twenty (Bortolato) and Cuisenaire rods)

 

1.Counting and making sums and subtractions (with the Line of twenty )

  • Pull up 3... 6... 20... flaps...
  • These are not flaps.... they are children! Some are sleeping, some are awake. How many children are sleeping?

2. Playing with the rods:

  • Make what you like... what's this? Oh, it's a cat! What a beautiful house!
  • Let's make a staircase... let's go up and down... say the colours ... and now backwards. Tidy up and put the sticks in the box. Close your eyes and say the colours again.
  • If the white one is one what is the name of the red one? Two! Great! And the name of the blue one? How many white in the light green stick?How many ... in the ...
  • Take one white stick, one red, one light green, a purple one and a yellow one, put them behind your back, mix them well and now ... find the red one.. Oh... It's magic!

Story: Little blue and little yellow


Art

 

  • The body: making a jigsaw puzzle (colour the picture of a boy/girl wearing a swimsuit, draw the sea and the beach, colour, cut , give it to friend as a present)
  • Mixing colours: blue and yellow is green.... red and yellow is orange.
  • Get into groups of three... six / seven groups of three and one group of two/four, I give you one minute … when you are ready sit down on the floor ... This is for you ( one sheet of drawing paper for each group) make a picture … what you like … but you must use only what you have … don't ask for anything … you use your colours... you can ask friends in your group and share materials … I'll put some music on and I'll give you 20 minutes to make your picture… please be quite so we can listen to the music … don't speak so loud... 5 minutes left … time over … tidy up and sit next to your picture... show us your picture .. (in italiano feedback su come il gruppo ha lavorato)
  • Picture dictation: let's draw a snowman!
  • Drawing a monster (in pairs)
  • Drawing ten little monsters: they are friends!
  • DRAMA (il lavoro svolto in lingua friulana partendo dalla storia “Il mostro peloso” tradotta e adattata da Michele Zamparini offre occasioni di lavoro in inglese)

  • The five senses.
  • We are all the same but we are different: find what your friend is
    special for ( sviluppata in italiano).

Music


Songs:

  • go away big/ green/ blue/ scary/ ugly / fuzzy monster (on the tune of “She'll be coming round the mountain....)

 

Sport


Game:

  • mice and cat / fish and octopus (the chaser can catch the prey only if they are alone, not if they are holding hands in groups of three)
  • Wake up! (We all sit in a circle . One child is chosen to walk around the circle: “It is night time... so everyone please go to sleep.”  Everyone puts their head down and closes their eyes … “Wake up!” The child who has been touched must run around the circle and reach the spot)
